Chop fresh root of ginger, about 3.5 oz (100 g), on small cubes or strips and pour in it hot water.

After cooling to the temperature of the body, remove the ginger, place in cheesecloth and place it on the sore spot. Attach a bandage and leave on overnight.

The pain should go away the next day. If pain persists, repeat the process a couple of times.
