Everybody knows that the implementation of too much time on the sun can cause skin cancer, but do you know how actually occurs sunburn?

Find out how uncomfortable redness occurs and how to prevent it in the attached video.

In the SciShow video see how and why your skin color changes when it is exposed to sunlight. It looks like the redness that occurs when you ‘burn’ is not actually guilty the sun, but your skin.

When the body starts to detect UVA, receptors in the skin produce special cells, melanocytes, which produce melanin and cause tanning.

UVB rays damage the DNA of your cells. If it destroys too many cells, it causes a reaction or burns.
