Feng Shui Tips To Improve Your Health & Well-Being

Improve Your Health & Well-Being

Feng Shui Tips
Feng shui is all about harmony. It can help you have prosperity in life, stay healthy and happy and enjoy. To apply feng shui rules in your home properly, you need to follow some rules. And once you do, feng shui will help you stay healthy, increase your energy levels and reduce and/or eliminate all health complications you may have been going through lately.

An important thing you you should be aware of is that you need to apply feng shui step by step. Meaning, you need to do it by priorities in order to build a proper foundation for more advanced feng shui cures to really work. Skipping basic feng shui steps will lead you nowhere, especially not to deeper feng shui levels.

Here are some basic feng shui steps for good health. Remember: these are the “must-have” feng shui steps! Do them right and your home will support vibrant health:

  1. Fresh, good quality air

Obviously, given the pace at which we live our lives it is easier said and done to be surrounded with quality air. So, you need to do all in your power to achieve this: open the window often to aerate the space, use air-purifiers, work with feng shui air-purifying plants, use essential oils to clear the air, etc. Basically, do anything you can think of that will help you get better air in your home. The feng shui foundation for your health and well-being is breathing clean air regularly! If your time and budget allow it, look to spend your weekends in the countryside or somewhere unspoiled by pollution.

  1. Natural light

Surrounding yourself with natural light isn’t as hard as it might seem. Avoid switching lights on as long as possible, especially during summer days, when days are long! If you work in a firm that opts for artificial light, take regular breaks and spend some time on the terrace/roof and let the sunshine in. Once your body feels you are supplying it with light, you will feel the shift in your health. Don’t forget that light is our number one nutrient! This also applies to the use of colors – the lighter colors around you are, the happier and healthier you’ll be!

  1. Un-clutter your space

This may be a little challenging to do, especially if you live in a small space. But, there are always ways to either remove clutter or just organize it. Feng shui relies on undisturbed energy flow, so you need to clear your space.

It is important to realize that no amount of good feng shui colors, wind chimes or feng shui plants will negate the low, depressing energy of clutter. The clutter constantly drains energy from you so you need to remove it. Make it a habit to pick up after yourself or at least clean regularly so no bad energy is in the way of your happiness and health. Replace the old with a new rug, remove all broken furniture and let prosperity in!

  1. Kitchen

There is a certain five elements theory to apply along with the cleansing/detox program of your choice. Here they are:

  1. Always have fresh water in site; maybe you can place a row of spring water bottles that you top off as necessary (Water feng shui element)
  2. Keep 9 oranges (Fire feng shui element) in a round metal bowl (Metal feng shui element.) Restock them, too, as needed.
  3. Aerate your kitchen regularly and let natural light in
  4. Stock up the kitchen with fresh herbs like mint, rosemary and basil. This is a Wood feng shui element. If you keep these in clay pots you are bringing in another element, the Earth feng shui element
  5. Let go of any unhealthy foods and thoroughly cleanse your kitchen

When you have taken care of these basic steps, you can move on to bigger and more feng shui cures!
