Natural Cough Syrup Recipe

1 medium onion

juice of 1 lemon

1 cup boiled and than cooled water

4 tablespoons of honey

1 clove garlic

1 teaspoon cinnamon

half a teaspoon of ginger



Cut onion and garlic into cubes. Put into a jar and stir in 1 cup of water. Close the lid of the jar to let the onion release it’s juice. Wait for 2-3 hours. Mix thoroughly all the ingredients on the jar and then filter it. Add honey and the juice of 1 lemon. Add ginger and cinnamon  too and stir it all. Your natural cough syrup is ready. You can drink 1 or 2 tablespoons after meals. You can store it up to 1 week on the bottom of the fridge. Because the honey can be too heavy for children under 1 year, don’t use it for babies. Don’t think that it would have a bad taste because of the onion. The spices that are added into it, takes the place of that smell and it becomes drinkable.
