Recipe: Learn How to Prepare a Syrup of Acacia Flowers

Syrup of acacia flowers is good for throat, cough, cold, headache and stomach cramps.

 Necessary ingredients for the preparation of syrups are:

Thirty sprigs of acacia (flowers),
33.8 oz (1 l) of water,
17.6 oz (500 g) of sugar and
half past one teaspoons salt of lemon

 Preparation:

Put while cooking a liter of water with half a pound of sugar and when it starts to boil, put the lid and leave for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally while cooking.

Then remove it from the heat, and add a teaspoon of syrup in lukewarm syrup and half of the salt of lemon.

When it is completely cool, place some 30 locust branches with flowers that have previously been washed and put on a cloth to dry.

Add in the syrup the completely dried twigs. After 24 hours drain them, and that’s it.

Dilute it with water to taste because it is very sweet syrup.

The syrup has a very pleasant smell and taste, we strongly recommend you to try yourself.
