When you are lonely, you can easily start to look for friends anywhere, any place, if we believe to the scientists. The study aims that loneliness can help even in the face of dolls you could recognize friends!  All this contribute to early statement that man is not born to be alone. But the effects of loneliness on health are much deeper.

“The lonely people have mental and physical problems much more often than people with a rich social life”, discover psychologist Bruce Rabin.

Depression:

If you feel lonely, then it is more likely to develop symptoms of depression.”When you are lonely, hormones in the brain that are associated with stress, such as cortisol, become more active, which can lead to depression,” explains Rabbi and say that associated with people is much more effective drug for depression than the drugs.

Taking care of yourself:

A variety of studies have shown that people who eat alone, eat food with lower quality and less quantity. Also, lonely people are less physically active.

Heart diseases:

“Scientists are constantly finding new evidence that loneliness is associated with a risk of heart disease, for several reasons. Because they do not have the support of society, lonely people are under more stress, which affects cardiovascular health, because they increased deposition of cholesterol” said Rabin.

Immunity:

Believe it or not, scientists at Ohio State University found that loneliness can weaken the immune system! This is because the lonely people produce more proteins associated with inflammation, in response to excessive stress. That inflammation associated with diseases such as heart, type 2 diabetes, arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease.

What to do?:

“It is important to understand that some people could handle to be alone or they have very few friends even though they do not feel lonely. But can happen when person has lots of acquaintances, friends, and even permanent partner, he still feels isolation, rejection, loneliness -”explains Rabbi and advised that perhaps the best remedy is to start working somewhere like a volunteer.He believes that with doing good things that will fix your mood, and you will meet many people. Some of them will surely respond, get friends, and you will feel much less loneliness.
